To find them just go System > Preferences > Sessions.

Mine looks remarkably slim. I am using Xfce though so I don't know if any of that stuff is there but just isn't showing - I know I added Fusion Icon to my Xfce sessions script rather than via Autostarted programs.

I always remove Tracker. I find no use for a desktop search though. You can remove it with Synaptic.

@Sealbhach: Yeah get rid of tracker, and if your not on a laptop that power management thing - as far as I know its just for laptop battery.

And do you really need a firewall?
