Gents:
Running kit: AMD_2600+: BG 7VT600L: 1.75 G Crucial: NV-5200: DSL
Have been running x32DD_6.06LTS. Using UPDATE MANAGER I've successfully installed x32HH_8.04 and all(?) components excepting "HAL". DLoad, install and configure w/all nominal applications & media_codex were performed automagically and without issue. Total time on DSL_384 line approx 2-hours.
Of some interest is that FFox_1.5.0 was installed, which old version prevents installing NOSCRIPT.
Tho the kit is certainly "legacy" I get boot-times of about one-minute. All in all, a flawless performance by UBUNTU. I wonder if the x64_update would go as smoothly on my AMD5400+ mainbox?
