Problem with wine.

I am a new User of ubuntu 8.04, after installing wine I tried to install gtalk using exe but it dose not work says need to install Mozilla HTML Gecko Engine. But when click install it's unable to do so.What should I do now.Somebudy please help me.

I tried looking for gtalk (google talk I presume) in the wine appDB but for some reason I can't access it now. When you can, try searching for it and see if it's possible and if it is, they probably address your porblem in the comments. Link here (http://appdb.winehq.org/)

Also, in case you don't know it, pidgin (or kopete if you're using KDE) can work as a google talk client as well and come installed by default. It seems they only have no support for voice calls. Take a look at this (http://www.google.com/talk/otherclients.html).

First, check if the application/software you are installing is listed in the wine website

http://appdb.winehq.org

You should see list such as platinum, gold and silver,

anyway, the site says what those list mean

this happens sometimes, have yo tried restarting your computer and do it again?
