WORKSPACES problem help!

hi guys i need a help when i login to ubuntu my workspaces are 4 but it look like 2 and when i click right cick then perfernce it's 4 but it's showing me 2 why does that happpen and sometimes the compiz dont work for example i hit CTRL+ALT and drag with mouse it doestn work even though i checked desktop cube and rotate

Which version of Ubuntu are you running? Also, do you use GNOME, KDE, or Xfce? Hope I can help!
