View Full Version : [ubuntu] No wifi network detected after upgrades 8.04

Hello all,

I installed Ubuntu 8.04 from the live CD, last week.
I could get my Belkin card working, using ndiswrapper.
I also included 'ndiswrapper' in the file /etc/modules, so I do not have to install the driver each time I reboot.

But, after downloading all the upgrades proposed, and after rebooting the computer, it looks like my card does not recognize any wifi network.

Apparently, the driver is loaded correctly (wireless connection is available) but no wireless network is proposed in the Network manager.

Even when scanning manually (sudo wlan0 scanlist, or something like this), the results is:

wlan0 no scan results.

For sure, wifi network is available (I'm using it right now).

Any idea if it is linked to the upgrades ?
Any solution ?

Many thanks.
