Hi all,

I have a desktop with vino VNC Server and configured it using the following instructions:

http://www.ubuntugeek.com/share-your-ubuntu-desktop-using-remote-desktop.html

However, when I try to access the desktop using xvnc4viewer on my notebook (MT-34) I am constantly getting the following error msg:

main: unable to connect to host: Connection refused (111)

I have added both localhost IP addies to to the corrresponding computer's host files.

Any ideas?

Switch.

Hi,

I remember my prob was something to do with have two copies of vnc operating as host, not one as client and one as host.

So perhaps you have done something similar on your compies?

Might be an idea to check it out.

Though, I don't tend to use that anymore because at that point I was all things ubuntu...now, I'm almost all things ubuntu :P

Me.
