Kde applications running on Gnome

Could anyone tell what kind of performance hit/increased RAM usage can result from running KDE apps on Gnome? I somehow strongly dislike KDE while at the same time most applications I use are written for KDE not Gnome...

TBH I don't really see any difference, there might be very very little drop in performance but not any that you can actually notice.
