This is probably a stupid question, but I'd rather say I asked a stupid question than to still not know the answer. :)

Is there a way to save your current version of Ubuntu (With your addons, removals, drivers, etc) without going through the work of compiling the whole thing from scratch? I'd love to be able to take my current setup and back it up to disc so I could just load it on another computer and everything would already be there and installed.

When you have 10 computers in your house, something like that would be priceless.

I'm not sure that is what I am looking for. I am looking for a program that will save my current system, programs and all, so I can install it on another computer and have all of the exact same programs and things without having to go back through and re-download and reinstall anything.

That is great... it sounds like exactly what I am looking for!

Only one hangup...

sudo apt-get install remastersys

That doesn't find the file, even after the update.

EDIT: Different HowTo on their page than there is on the first page I read... I'm trying that one now.
