Is there any way to install Xubuntu on a hard drive but not configure for that computer?
I have an old laptop that is missing the proprietary floppy and CD drives thus can't provide a boot drive. What I was thinking, was to use a second computer that can boot a linux CD and install Xubuntu but not configure for that computer. Then, take the hard drive and place back into the laptop and then configure Xubuntu for that machine.
