Mouse lets go of window when trying to move one.

During the process of dragging a window it's like my mouse lets go of it, with the left mouse button still held down. This has happened to me in ubuntu, kubuntu, and xubuntu. Anyone ever have this happen to them? This has been happening since I had the OS installed, lived with it for awhile, but it's just getting annoying now.

I've had similar issue with a mouse owned by a relative. We swapped out the mouse and issue went away with the old mouse....
Have you tried a different mouse?
