I read this thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=45659&page=7) in the archives and wanted to re-iterate the request pmorch made in March.
In addition to the reasons pmorch gave for needing to generate the reports and analyze them offline, also consider situations where the amount of data is very large such as multi-terabyte filesystems with many tens of millions of files. My users need to manage this space and want a graphical tool. Currently they are using xdiskusage because it can load a file I can prepare after hours (which takes several hours to run). But it doesn't do everything baobab can do, and it doesn't look nearly as nice.
Great tool, let's just think bigger -- more servers, more data.
