Hi all I have already installed ubuntuon one of my pc but the main pc is not playing. I am trying to install the latest 8.04 64 bit version.
set up core duo on a p5w dh delux. (think that the problem)
2gb ram 7900gtx nvidia card.
I want to set up a dual boot system for the time being
all my hds are sata the dvd rw is ide.
i am not not running raid system and my vista is the 32 version.
When i try to install ubuntu the system hangs when i try to install a hard copy although most options run ok on the live cd.
i have read that my mobo p5w dh is a bit of a bugger to set up for this ubuntu software.
Has anyone else been here and how did the get round the problem.
I have big stick to hand if that helps.
I dont want to get rid of my vista set up yet but i will in time as it sucks even though its packed with features. it crashes out to many programs i for one have had enough of windows
