Irritating problem with Gmail

Is anyone having problems connecting to Gmail? I was using Gmail fine for receiving mails, reading feeds, managing time, organizing documents till yesterday. And today I find that I simply cannot connect to Gmail! The problems pretty irritating and it will be a BIG relief if somebody could suggest some solution.

I am using FreeBSD 7.0 on a Dell Inspiron 640m laptop and connect to the Internet from behind a proxy server. I use Firefox3, Firefox2 or Opera for using Gmail. Strangely, I found that I can connect to Gmail from other computers on my network alright!

I don't have FreeBSD running at the moment, but Gmail loads fine in Kazehakase and Opera on both NetBSD and Slackware.

It was a SSL proxy problem. I am out of town and using an new network so didn't know that. But thanks for your reply.
