[SOLVED] Can't Install Ubuntu

So I ordered the Ubuntu 8.04 CD from ShipIt and I used it to instal 8.04 on another pc and then I wanted to put it on my pc but whenever I boot from the cd it gets to the normal menu like this

but whenever I click any of those options the screen turns black and there comes a blinking underscore

Please I help I really want 8.04

EDIT: I've tried pressing F6 and typing "acpi=off noapic" but it loads and the gives me an error

Hi and could you give us some system specs?
Also if you can give us the error it may help also. :)

Possbily the graphic card doesn't support this CD. It happens before, but it's very rear

Run in as a live cd and if it works try installing it using the desktop shortcut...

Thanks for your help but it worked I downloaded and burned the alternate cd and the I clucked F6 and typed "acpi=off noapic" and it installed perfectly :D
