Hi,
I am trying to breathe some new life into an old but good Sony Vaio PCG-SRX51P laptop. I have installed Hardy Heron via WUBI successfully onto the machine and everything works well - except the video resolution. The graphical video reolution tool shows an "unknown" display. It seems to be using a Vesa 2 standard (non Intel specific) driver.
The problem I am seeing is also documented here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/usplash/+bug/183746/+viewstatus but I am not sure how I can move it forward/get an advised fix. Can someone help?
Thanks.
Paul.
