I recently installed Hardy on my Dell Inspiron 1505 and I cannot connect to either a wired or wireless network connection. I've tried everything that I can think of but to no avail. This is my first real Linux experience so it could be I'm missing something. I've read that I need to install firmware for the wireless NIC to function, but the instruction seem like they are written for rather experienced Linux/Ubuntu users. What really baffles me is that the wired ethernet connection doesn't work. This seems to me that it should just work. If anyone has any insight into these issues it would be much appreciated. Let me know if you need any more info to help!
