I just want to point out how I'm a little concerned with the Ubuntu upgrade procedure. Essentially, it gives the user no warning whatsoever that something could go wrong and doesn't ask them if they are really sure. I remember a failed upgrade from 7.04 to 7.10 that made it very hard to get back data, this upgrade took place not long after the realise of 7.10, so I assume it was too early for a regular user and not a tester. There should however be a warning to notify the user of this.
