hello,

I normally use synaptic manager to install softwares on my laptop.
but the download speeds are not the best :(

I have a download accelerator.
I can use it ,but I am not sure which file to install from
ubuntu archives.

for example I wanted to download:
sun-java6-source_6-07-4ubuntu2_all.deb

but the synaptic manager was downloading :
sun-java6-source_6-06-0ubuntu1_all.deb

Is there a way for me to know which version to (for other softwares:neutral:)?

And one more ... how do I know about all(if not ,a good list of) the softwares repositories for ubuntu (hardy 64 bit)

thank you in advance.
