I Just found out what 8.04 means
8--the year(2008 )
04--the month(april)

and the first
4.10 (Warty Warthog)
4--the year(2004)
10--the month(october)

Basically all releases (except Dapper Drake, 6.06) are either X.04 or X.10. (X = year)

Dapper was delayed for two months. They decided it wasn't stable enough or something. Dapper was the first LTS.

It was released in June. The numbering system is Year.Month
