I have installed Ubuntu onto an external HD just to make sure it was something I wanted and that it would go smoothly. It took some battling to get the wireless card working on this laptop, but I'm at the point now where everything is the way I want it to be.

Is there any way that I can image this drive to a flash drive and the laptop's HD it came with? Or do I have to go through that whole process 2 more times?

In the Windows world, I could do this with Norton Ghost. Is there anything similar in the Ubuntu/Linux world?

I suggest you give a try to Clonezilla ( http://www.clonezilla.org/ ) it can handle what you want.
