View Full Version : [ubuntu] Touchpad enable => help windows

August 23rd, 2008, 05:08 PM
Hi all,
I face the following problem. When I start my laptop (specs at my signature) with the touch pad disabled (it has a button toggling this ability) and after logging in I enable it again via the button , help windows keep appearing all the time and the system becomes unstable. It's like pressing F1 all the time... I have a separate mouse connected and working. Any ideas?

same thing happened in Kubuntu 7.10, and could never solve it.
But it disappeared when I upgraded to HH.

Just decided to move away from vista.
I've a similar prob, when booting up the touchpad is disabled. Do you how to keep it enabled during the boot process and avoid me to press the switch?
Thanks for your time
