Why has firefox so much trouble with processing an simple animation (javascript/jquery) I'm working on here (http://broncode.net/blog) (never mind the pictures, i'm just testing - wait 6 seconds for the pictures to change).
Opera under linux runs it smoothly as does Firefox/Ie7 under vista.
Is there something wrong with my firefox?

@firefox2 already does it a lot smoother, but still not as good as opera.

I'm not sure I'm having the exact same problem, but Javascript for me is always dicey. I'm running Firefox 3.0.1 on Ubuntu 8.04.

Sometimes when I click on javascript links, firefox goes to 100% processor use and never lets go. Other times, it's fine. For example. Before coming to the forum, I clicked on a canoe picture link (enhanced view) at ****'s Sporting goods (http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2131645). It's a java link to bring up a bigger picture. It caused the processor to go to 100%. I restarted xorg, went back to the site, clicked on the link again, and it popped up the picture without any problems... I'm confused.
