LAMP with Desktop???

Ok whats everyone's opinion.

Is it better to install the server version of Ubuntu and then add the desktop package or Install the desktop version and then add the LAMP package?

well...the server version is a lighter install. Then you could select a very light weight desktop environment. If you select the Ubuntu Desktop, it is a very large meta-package. Or you could install the much larger desktop version and then add the relatively small lamp package, either way you end up with the same amount of software...unless you customize.
