Joined as well, as I just got 64-bit back on my AMD box :) And gonna keep it there now, it was a painless setup and so far no problems at all - just smooth running.

I have an amd 64 bit computer. Not sure about joining any groups though. I barely have time for the one I'm in, and feel like a schmuck for not being there when I should be.

Great to know that this is here, though.

Count me in. GF6100-M754 Elitegroup AMD 64 3200+ at newegg.com with a gig of ram for like 80 bucks. Added an extra stick of 1 gig, of course. Running an eGeForce 8500 GT pcie with 1 gig DDR ram on it. No problems on it running Ubuntu64 at all.

heh go on Dr Small, you may upgrade to a 64bit soon though right ;)

So is there a separate section of the forum cordoned off with "keep out, weird folks be here" tape around it for 64 bit users so we can ask questions?

One thing I want to be sure of is if I have my nvidia section of my xorg.conf set up to get the most out of my card. I don't think I do because cairo-dock really glitches out on me a lot. I'd think it would run sort of smooth with what I have, not that it's that much, but it's not totally shabby.

'course it's a basic question anyway, I suppose...

:) I forgot about awn. I have it going, but I now remember why I forgot about it. How do I get launchers and stuff in it? I want to rid myself of the panel I normally use, but without the ubuntu stuff launcher and the quit button, etc. I don't care to do anything with it but autohide it, which stinks. I'll look around the forums I guess.

BAM http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=762363

sorry for the hijack.

BLT, Drag and drop any apps you wish into the awn application bar, now they will show up in your awn config menu so you can edit them.

You dont get assigned a member number, so there will be no difference in waiting to register, its just a total member count to see how amny 64-bit users we have.
