View Full Version : [ubuntu] Keyboard and Mouse Freezing

My keyboard and Mouse lock themselves completely if I leave my computer alone for a few minutes. If I am using the computer however, no lock ups at all. When they lock the computer is still running fine and dandy, there is no crash or system freeze.
The only way to get the mouse and keyboard going again is to hard reset the computer.
Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Many thanks

Same problem. Running Hardy Heron with Compiz. Seems to be a void in the power management. If I leave if for an hour, keyboard and mouse freeze and I have to do a hard restart. If I leave it for two hours or so, power management puts it into hibernation and I have to log back in, BUT keyboard and mouse are not frozen. It seems like it gets stuck between sleep and hibernation.

I sorted this out. I updated my motherboard bios last night and left the computer on all the night long. Mouse and keyboard still both working this morning when i got up, which they never usually do.

hope you find a solution to your problem mingohills.
