so have you installed Ubuntu on a separate partition on the drive or another drive or is the method for netbooting or something and the other PC had no OS on it?

can you direct me to the guide you used so I can see how it installs?

Thanks

i dont have nero in order to make the ubuntu iso a CD

First read How can I write (burn) ISO files to CD? (http://www.petri.co.il/how_to_write_iso_files_to_cd.htm) and download ISORecorder (http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm).

Here is what I do. In have a cruzar sandisk 8 gig. I burn the ISO to the Sandisk and can install from there over any OS. You will need a piece of software called I think usb something. Google Ubuntu on Sandisk.
