Hi

I noticed something strange.
I switched to Intrepid because of the newer kernel providing support for my cardbus esata card. after the dist-upgrade, the first time i inserted the card and pluged an esata device - it worked fine and i was happy.

if you want i can also post an lspci output...
i have absolutely no idea why it stopped working. if it never worked it would be something different but now i know that it is possible and i'd like to work with esata.

I'll be grateful for every suggestion.

I had this error (link online but device misclassified) with a compactflash->sata adapter until I checked the CONFIG_SATA_PMP kernel option:

SATA Port Multiplier support
Location:
-> Device Drivers
-> Serial ATA (prod) and Parallel ATA (experimental) drivers

I have the same problem with a Cavalry esata drive. this did not work for me. any other suggestions?
