Hey guys i'm new to ubuntu. I gotta say.. its so much better than windows... gates should curl up in a dark corner and die of shame. Everythings good except i cant get my rear speakers to work. The onboard audio has three ports in the back, one for speakers, one for mic, and one for line-in. In winxp i was able to use the utility that came with the audio provider (ac97 but i dont know how to check in ubuntu what it reads it as) to switch the line-in port to a rear-out port. That let me use my rear satellites. After the switch to Ubuntu, i only have this one hitch. I can't get the rear speakers to work and i dont wanna resort to using a y-split on the front speaker port. Is there any way to do the same thing in ubuntu? can i change the line-in port and make it my rear-out port? please help!!

*update* I read up on the guide and figured out whats running on my board.
