hello, my kdm is running high, constantly. which, i believe is causing both of my cpus to be running high all the time now. any ideas? they run like that almost constantly, dipping from 50% to 100%

thats a screenshot of my kde process table and conky. (the conky temp is incorrect, for some reason it wont change, so i assume it doesnt work)

something random but may be relevant: my login screen is a different resolution then my desktop screen. i've searched how to fix this and have, thus far, been unsuccessful in doing so.

thanks for the help

*edit: i did search, but as the first several pages came up with nothing that i thought was helpful i decided to post

updating. it's still doing it

i google imaged other people's kubuntu installs to see if they too have a high kdm (thinking it's like the 'system idle process' on windows where it's the leftover percentage). however other people's main cpu% process is usually Xorg (or so i have found)
