Hi guys, I was doing an upgrade today (8/19/08) on my other ubuntu pc when the power cut out during the installation phase. As soon as those damaged packages load very early in boot the screen with start shaking, then fade in and out with random colors in gradient. I can't use mouse, keyboard, or even see what's really on the screen. What's interesting is that a live CD acted this way also in exactly the same fashion.
I'm sure my install is hosed, since I can't really access this machine anymore, but is there anything I can burn to a cd to be executed at boottime or any changes I can make to xorg.conf or anything like that to fix/help this?
I'm desperate..:confused: help would be awesome :KS
