VLC is usually perfect, although with this video i ran into some problems with the subtitles. They are in the direct center of the screen. Any way to solve this? Maybe a way to change position of them, to lower them down to the bottom? Please help :(

Check preferences > Video go to the subtitles and play with the settings.

This may or may not help.

I have a different problem with VLC subtitle, but I noticed that it gets fixed if I go to the "Language" or "Subtitle" menu thing on the DVD menu itself (rather than the menu from VLC, if that makes sense) and choose subtitle. It seem silly, but in my case it does make a difference.

They are files though, so no DVD menu here. As for the settings, i tried toying with them decresing the number and stuff but nothing happened. Any other ideas? :(

Edit: Found out that the subtitle version is a problem with VLC itself and how it renders them. This is a known problem with SSA.
