I want to be able to organize my music myself in the Music folder and have the player automatically use the Music folder as it's library, so that it automatically updates it every time.

Is there any software that does that? I also have an the new iPod Classic which so far has only really worked with Floola. If there is a program that worked with this iPod that would be nice.

I've tried Rhythmbox, Banshee, Amarock, and some others and none of them seemed to work for me... maybe I didn't get them enough of a chance, but what are your recommendations? What do you use?

Rhythmbox does that... maybe you can explore it a little more.

For iPod management software, use gtkPOD. It has support for album art etc... which most other media players don't have.

For a media player, use Songbird. It looks just like iTunes (except it's black). You can get custom themes and addons!
