Adjusting fonts in Xubuntu 7.10

In Xubuntu 7.10, fonts on appz and other windows are really tiny. If I use "User Interface Preference" to adjust them, then the menu fonts and other system fonts are way too big. Is there another way to adjust these two sets of fonts separately? Thanks.

At first, they do get pretty big as you change their size, but as you log out/restart and log in again, everything should revert to a more eye-pleasing look.

Second, you could check your resolution to see it's correct for your screen (and not the default 1600x1200, for example).
