Shutdown Not Complete

I am quite new to hardy and ubuntu, i tried to shutdown hardy.... It happens to hang at the ubuntu logo with an empty loading bar. The error was network assertion failed. i tried the solution give on the forum which is the Login Window and it doesn't work for me. I dont have any problem with reboot but just shutdown..

Mind anybody help me?
