I was trying to remove my OS partition and re-create partition.

Now my Ubuntu partition is gone.

My laptop doesn't have an external CD-ROM.

I have access to USB External HDD (WD My Book 1TB).

How can I boot up Ubuntu, re-create partition, and install a new OS to my laptop?

Thanks a lot.

I download “unetbootin” and run on the 2GB USB flash drive.

When I turn my laptop on with storage device as 1st option to boot, follow by CD-ROM & HDD. It doesn't do anything, all I have is a underscore blinking.

download here: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=222386

Any idea how I can fix it?
I was confuse with all that steps so I download installation.

Is there any other way from Windows to make laptop boot in Ubuntu and install new OS? Since currently, there is no OS on my laptop.

can you mount off of your USB?

easy:
external cd burner
internal cd burner
or get slitaz as basic desktop boot (28 megs) and then use the net to upgrade if you dont like.

That will cost me $$$. Trying to find cheaper way as possible. :)

I am trying to find a way to boot from USB flash drive.

Then once I got in, install Ubuntu.

thats to advanced for me, I can only imagine that you would be lucky to be able to boot from your usb
if we could only install from one partition or hard drive to the other as if it where a cd rom =)
