Hi guys,
I'm trying to resuscitate an ancient Compaq Armada Intel:

Intel Pentium II 400 MHz
HD ATA 10.5 GB
RAM ? (very little I guess)

which linux distro would be best? All I would need would be browsing (firefox), some light writing (OpenOffice writer or alternative) and email (probably through gmail in the browser)

I am up for suggestions that would maximize the effiency of this old machine.

thank you!

Slitaz, Damn Small Linux or Puppy Linux but have a look at this thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=575456).

thank you!

I think I'm going to try DSL. I was thinking of fluxbuntu but I think DSL is probably faster on this creaky hardware.

cheers
