I have tried to install Ubuntu 8.04 (64-bit) on my DELL Dimension XPS710, which is bundled with 4GB of RAM, 2X 320 GB SATA Hard Drives which are configured as a single volume (596GB stripped RAID-nVidia BIOS RAID), but when I boot up with Ubuntu CD it only shows me both drives as separate units, and doesn't recognize the BIOS RAID Array configured.

Is there any workaround on this matter ?

I'm getting the same thing on my BIOS RAID 0. It works fine in Vista, but in Ubuntu I get separate drives. I'm using a nvidia 2200 pro. Is there really no work-around for this?

If I set up a mirror BIOS RAID and it works in Vista, can I then use a software RAID in linux to keep the two drives identicle ans still use them?
