I just switched over to using KDE 4 last friday. Since doing this if I unplug my usb keyboard and mouse from the monitor for even a brief length of time they don't work when I plug them in again.

I need to do this occasionally as I use synergy to control a windows machine, and sometimes it gets flakey.

Any ideas on what's going on would be much appreciated.

In case it makes a difference I'm using a slim mac keyboard and a logitec mx518 optical mouse.

I experience this with my laptop... my mouse has to be plugged in at boot... even going down to runlevel 1 then going back up the the desktop does not enable my mouse:-( I am sure it is a setting/package/config file somewhere.
