I have earlier experience of web development with php and mysql under Microsoft (w2k including iis server) environment.
Now when I'm migrating to Linux - Ubuntu 8.04 - everything looks fine, except that I can't get php and mysql working together in an apache2 server.
Thus php (PHP Version 5.2.4-2ubuntu5.3) works fine in the server, and the messages from firefox web browser are ok. So is also mysql (5.0.51a-3ubuntu5.1) when running queries from for example mysql query browser.
However, when I try to browse a php-page involving simple mysql-code that is working in the w2k environment, I get a totally blank page in this new environment. No error messages, no nothing, nada!
I haven't done anything special to enable mysql under php, and may have missed something there??
Would be delighted for some clues!
