I am running Ubuntu Hardy /// Linux asus 2.6.24-21-generic #1 SMP Tue Aug 12 13:37:22 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux
Nautilus 2.22.3
phone is Samsung SCH-U706
I can move files from phone to computer
but from computer to phone I get the error below
There was an error copying the file into obex://[00:1E:E2:FD:13:F1]/My%20Flix.
Operation not supported by backend
What can I do to solve this problem ?

I have the same problem. I guess this is not the way it's supposed to behave. For now I have to rely on the "send to" thing in Nautilus which kind of sucks since I want certain files in certain directories on my mobile.

I didn't find the solution to that problem yet.

This problem is specific to hardy. I had everything working well with a nokia 6630 on ubuntu 7.10... It stopped working after my upgrade to 8.4... I'm sure that there are bug reports filed for it.
By the way: I can only move files from the phone to the computer as well. But blueproximity does work which is a cool programme.

Had this same problem in Hardy, and just upgraded to Intrepid beta. Problem still exists. Does anyone know of any work-arounds?

I am using Ubuntu 8.04 and have a nokia 6600. I can send files from PC to phone, but couldn't send phone to PC.
