View Full Version : [ubuntu] mirage in all four desktops

August 17th, 2008, 01:41 AM
I want Mirage - the image viewer - to start in all four of my desktops.

When I start Mirage from the terminal with this command:

mirage /home/me/Pictures/pic.jpg

Mirage turns up only on the active desktop.

What's the answer?

Maybe start multiple instances and move the "spares" to the other workspaces.

"Maybe start multiple instances ... "

No. That's not what I want.

Any other suggestions?

Isn't there a way to start a program on all desktops?

well if u want it to be ALWAYS with u, right click it on the taskbar(or press alt+space), and choose "keep on visible workspace" this way whenever u switch to any desktop, it will stay with u.

also u could switch using crtl+shift+alt while selecting it to switch with it.
