Ah, day three of the upgrade escapade.

You can search my threads for the details of how I got to this point... but it doesn't have any bearing on what I am doing... correction... TRYING to do now.

I have abandoned trying to upgrade via Adept or Konsole... I am now trying to make a clean install of Hardy Heron 8.04.1, Kubuntu.

I have downloaded the iso four times now... twice via Windows XP and now twice via Linux... all four times using different mirrors.

You might wonder why four times...?

Because the md5sum has yet to be correct.

What I get is:

e0b9861df26c54acfd62bf35abe859f6

What http://releases.ubuntu.com/8.04.1/ say I should be getting is:

c69e34e92d5402d1b87e6babc739f774

Any ideas?

Thank you in advance.

Make sure you are comparing the right isos. Also torrents are better than HHtp anf FTP

Ah, the download page directed me to the wrong ms5sum list.

Thank you, Pumalite.

For future users with the same issue, the correct md5sum list for KUBUNTU is on this page:
