Moving root partition

I've been jiggling my partitions around somewhat, specifically the root partition. I created a new partition in the place I wanted / to be, copied everything over and updated GRUB. I can successfully boot with the new partition mounted as /, but in gparted it also shows as being mounted in /dev/.static/dev, and additionally I'm unable to login with anyone other than root.

Any ideas?
