I'm running kubuntu 8.04 with KDE4.

I upgraded to the latest kernel but got some broken packages

linux-image-2.6.24-21-386 (version 2.6.24-21.40)
linux-restricted-modules-2.6.24-21-386 (version 2.6.24.14-21.47)
linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.24-21-386 (version 2.6.24-21.30)

If I remove the broken packages, how do I restore my system back to the setting before the upgrade? Reason I ask is because I noticed my sound is now broken after the upgrade.

Any help is greatly appreciated
