I am a longtime SuSE user (since 1998 ) and I decided to give ubuntu a try and I must say I am very impressed.

I like the speed and clean UI of both ubuntu and gnome.

before ubuntu i was a slackware desktop user, the difference is HUUUUGE!

Before ubuntu i was mainly windows/mac user... never, never again shall I go back! Transition to ubuntu took about 6 hours for me, after that I just deleted all windows partitions and threw some sweet ubuntu disks into my iBook :)

That was about six months ago, and I'm still here, loving the ubuntu project and linux and finding out more interesting stuff almost every day. Like last week I started to fidle with my laptops wifi (pc, not the iBook) and found out that Ubunturepos hold the most amazing ndiswrapper GUI-tool ever, just few (was it three or four?) kliks and my wireless was set-up. Mad, even in ******* it was _way_ harder to install wifi-drivers.

Welcome to the wonderful world of ubuntu! I tried SuSe too, but it wouldn't detect too much of my hardware:neutral: Now I'm GLAD I chose ubuntu :-)
