They should put it at the top of the Community Chat page like they did a week or two ago.

1. The Backyard is accessible from the front page. Posts there do not appear in searches (including the "new posts" search) unless you change the display setting in your user settings.

2. The name is subject to a poll: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=88494
The CC thought that the name was prejudicial and asked that it be ghanged. The poll is there to pick a final name for it.
