After upgrading Ubuntu 8.04 to Ubuntu Studio my sound no longer works when I try to play my games. Sound works with everything else just the games have no sound. Ubuntu studio has a lot of audio apps, some of which seem to do nothing when I attempt to launch them - could it be that one of these audio apps altered some sound files in some way? Any help greatly appreciated. Thankyou.
In System>Preferences>Sound: After experimenting with switching some Devices from Autodetect to ASLA my sound issue has been solved.
