No Hard-drive ?

Hello

I just downloaded Ubuntu yesterday and I would like to install to my PC, but there is a problem ..My hard-drives were not detected (IDE ATA133) I tried the boot parameter "all_generic_ide" It not works neither ...

Any help ? or Advise ?

Here the spec of my Pc

Mobo : Asus K8V-X SE
CPU : AMD SEMPRON +3000 SOCKET 754
MEM : 1G KINGSTON
HD : 80G W.D IDE ATA133
VIDEO CARD : GeFORCE4 MX400

and the ISO dowloaded : Ubuntu 8.04 LTS DESKTOP EDITION for Amd64 & Intel. (CD Live)


Now I am trying the alternate CD.

I give up for now, but I'll come back, i love a lot Ubuntu I try everything I found from this forum and some where else BUT IT STILL
NOT SEE ANY HARD-DRIVE ...

boot parameters ==> NO WORK AT ALL

Alternate CD ==> neither

select driver manually = same thing

Nothing works for now, boot paras, alternate CD, drivers ....Nothing, really it give me a headache. I tried Slackware , Mandriva ....No problem at all ...
