hi,
i have a dell dimension b110 with intel celeron d, 512 ram, and 80 gig hard drive,
i use ubuntu on my laptop so i figured i would like to try it on my desktop. my cd drive was bad so i tried using unetbootin to install. i selected guided: use entire disk for my partition selection, everything was going fine until it said "copying files" an error came that said
"[Erno 5] Input/output error: /rofs/usr/bin/c2ph
i figured it had something to with unetbootin being in the windows partition, and me trying to delete that partition. so i shut it down, put a working cd drive into it and tried the live cd. it did the same thing, worked fine until "copying files" and then gave me the same error. i have tried it with two different cd's (i have used both in the past) and doing manual on the partitioning. i could really use some help. thanks in advance.
