Awesome window manager in Ubuntu, which version and how do I install it?

Hi,

I installed Hardy and Awesome, it gave me version 2.0 of Awesome. But I know 2.3.3 is out and is the latest 2.x stable version. Should I try to install it, keep the existing 2.0 or go for 3.x directly?

My second question is how to install it? I've seen some old tutorials on this forum but they are targeting older versions.

I suggest that you wait for version 3.0 since it will bring a lot of changes to the configuration. According to this post (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=879066), shearn89 is preparing a howto.
